Need help with knowing exactly where to make a beeline once you’re there? Here’s the lowdown on some of the best new traders. Make sure you get amongst it before the 2017 season disappears.

 

Il Polentone

Polenta is a rustic Italian staple that originates from Northern Italy made from corn flour. Il Polentone cook polenta in the traditional way by allowing it to slowly bubble away in a big pot and then pouring it (steaming hot) onto a wooden board and serve it with meat ragu, mushroom sauce or a four cheeses sauce on top. The soft and delicious polenta caters to all as it is gluten free.

 

Paco’s Tacos

The Paco’s Tacos crew (MoVida’s Frank Camorra) are cooking up some of Mexico’s favourite national street foods – tacos and fresh grilled corn. The fresh, hot corn tortillas are filled with succulent beef, tasty chicken or black beans and served with lettuce, salsa and fresh cheese. An easy take-away to stroll around the market with.

 

Bone Brth 

Stay warm with a cup of chicken or beef broth from ‘Bone Brth’. From the girls behind Those Girls Beverage Co., the new food stall focuses of health, sustainability and great quality food that is not only great for your gut but is also tasty. Yum!

 

Pickett’s Deli

Scott Pickett and his team at Pickett’s Deli & Rotisserie are bringing two star attractions to the Winter Night Market with their mouth-watering beef brisket and soft shell crab burger. Try Mr. P’s Philly Cheese Steak – a BBQ beef brisket roll, grilled onions, cheddar, Mr. P’s famous brown sauce! Or get your hands on Pickett’s Soft Shell Crab Burger – featuring a soft shell crab, winter slaw, coriander and spicy mayo!

 

Gourmet Pies

Award-winning Gourmet Pies with 10 flavours on offer. Warm your soul with your pick of various gourmet pies, served with mash, peas and gravy. There is also a famous Lemon Meringue Pie and Hot Apple Pie on offer if you’re craving something sweet.

 

The Black Sheep

The Black Sheep presents an ancient, traditional secret recipe for you all to enjoy! Spit-roasting whole lambs, chicken and pork, their passion for the fire and spit attract attention every Wednesday and always ensures a WOW factor or Instagram moment.

 

George The Fishmonger

Prepared especially for the Winter Night Market, George The Fishmonger presents a brand new menu. Highlights include: a lobster roll packed with lettuce and celery, dressed with a spicy Japanese mayonnaise in a lightly toasted brioche bun. Their prawn roll is also proving popular, consisting of hand-shelled Australian prawns, mixed with a crispy salad, dressed with spicy Japanese mayonnaise and topped with a sprinkle of Tobiko.
